We offer 15 hours free per week during term time to entitled 2 and 3 year olds from the term after their birthdays. We also offer fee paying sessions for children aged 2 to 5 years old.  

We offer a limited number of free 30 hour term time places for eligible working parents of 3/4 year olds from the term after their 3rd birthday (funding cut off dates apply on the Govt website for each term). This is only for children doing the full 30 hours in our setting.  Please see our free childcare section for details.

.Our Aims are for children to learn through play in a safe, stimulating and caring environment. All children and families are welcome in our warm, friendly pre-school.

We are registered by OFSTED for 24 children between the ages of 2 to 5 years old.

Session Times (Term time only).

Monday-Thursday 9am-11.30 and 12.30pm- 3pm

Lunch club: Mon-Thurs 11.30am-12.30pm (healthy eating packed lunch required)

Friday 9am-11.30am (no lunch club on Friday except for funded 30 hours children)

Friday 11.30am-3pm ( limited places only for children entitled to and doing  the full 30 hours free in St Joseph's Pre-school).

Fees are £8.00 per session. Lunch club fees are £3.00

We have a good OFSTED report and have achieved Herts Quality Standards Accreditation (HQS) for providing High quality care and learning for children.

All Staff are qualified to the highest level in childcare and education. Up to date training is completed on a regular basis.

This includes regular safeguarding, FIRST AID, Food hygiene training updates and STEPS training on the management of behaviour and the prevention of behaviour from escalation.   

All staff have enhanced DBS (data baring service) checks.

 We have a self contained pre-school unit with lots of equipment and activities for children to participate in. We also have a large secure garden area with grass and a patio area for the children to enjoy outdoor play and activities.
